Nalu Ukulele

First thing you notice when you pick up a Nalu ukulele is how solid they feel. Even before you play a note, you notice the craftsmanship, the quality of the wood and the beauty of the instrument. But then you play it and you realize how great the intonation is, how easy the string set is to play and how wicked great they sound. This is what we strive for at Nalu...for you be blown away by just how great they are.

We've said it before and we'll say it again, Nalu ukuleles are different than other ukuleles in so many ways.

First, when you pick up one of our ukes to play, there have been many, many ukes that have come before it. We prototype, then we prototype again until it's just right. By the time our ukes reach your hands, we've tried out a number of wood combinations, swapped out any number of components, tried on various bindings, nuts, saddles and more. The uke you're playing represents the perfect intersection between the quality of the sound, the integrity of the construction and the accessibility of the price.

We are absolutely in love with these ukes. We hope you are too!

FYI: As we mentioned in our FAQs section, we currently make three families of ukuleles: Ahua, Hokua and Kaiko'o. The differences between them are:

Ahua

Simple solid mahogany with few embellishments.
PPS nut and saddle.

Hokua

Mahogany with binding and lots of inlay.
Black Tusq nut and saddle.

Kaiko’o

Sitka Spruce top with Zebrawood back and sides, binding, and lots of inlay.
